The illnesses and diseases that people are regularly facing are changing as the dynamics around us change rapidly including food intake, lifestyle, social pressure or other factors.

Advancements in food preservation technologies are leading to people consuming more modified and premade non frozen and frozen foods regularly. Rapid environmental changes around the world due to pollution and other climatic imbalances are contributing to even worse health issues. This overall poor health epidemic is putting an increasing financial burden on individuals and governments.

I believe that in order to address this rapidly emerging epidemic, each individual needs to take charge of his/her own health. After a lot of research into various ways of life and healing modalities, I became interested and studied the science of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the oldest science of healing dating back to over 500 years old from its origins in India. The word Ayurveda is made up of two Sanskrit words: “Ayu” which means life or live life and “Veda” which means knowledge of Science life. Ayurveda is referenced extensively in many ancient scripts and as a result is regarded as the mother of all health care practices and medicine. Individuals from China, Tibet, Greece, Rome, Egypt, Afghanistan and Persia all travelled to India in ancient times to learn of the Ayurvedic principles of healing and treatment. It is believed that these principles were subsequently incorporated into their respective methods of healing.
FIND OUT MORE ABOUT AYURVEDA
Over the past 20 years and with the continuous efforts of practitioners of alternate medicine, acceptance and use of natural ways, especially Ayurveda, has increased for the treatment of various health issues. I have been exposed to Ayurveda since my childhood and experienced long-term health benefits of following Ayurveda, doing Yoga and using Herbs to treat my health challenges. I had observed that family elders would give a combination of herbs and other remedies to me and other family members when sick or experiencing health discomforts.

Being an Ayurvedic practitioner, I believe that it is important to educate individuals to stay healthy. I endeavor to provide ayurvedic knowledge and information supported with modern medicine and clinical studies conducted on various herbs to educate /empower people with education of Ayurveda so that they undertake honest efforts to take charge of their respective health and maintain a balanced lifestyle. A healthy individual will be happy, free of worries and will enjoy life to its fullest. People will stay healthier for a longer time and this will offset hospital stay and other healthcare costs for a later date when they are much older.
